Help & support
Quick answers to get you making videos. Can’t find what you need? Ask the help chat, or email support@onemaker.io.
Getting started
What is Onemaker?
Onemaker turns a song into a video. Pick a template — lyric videos, music visualizers, loops and more — add your track, and the editor lets you change the text, fonts, photos, video clips, colours and music. Lyrics can be timed to the vocal automatically. When it looks right, you export the video as a file for YouTube Video (16:9) or YouTube Short (9:16). Every template and the free tools can be tried for free; the Unlimited plans remove the watermark and unlock HD.
Do I need an account to try a template?
No. Open any template, add a track and watch the preview without signing up. You need an account when you want to export (download) a video or keep your project in My Projects.
How do I make my first video?
Go to Templates and pick one you like. Open it in the editor, add your song, change the words, photos and colours, and press Play to preview. When you are happy, press Export, choose the size, and we make the file. You can follow it in My Projects and we email you when it is ready.
Templates
How do I find a template?
Open Templates from the top menu. You can search by name or style, and browse by category — lyric videos, visualizers, loops and others. Each template page shows a preview and the sizes it comes in. Press the button on the template page to open it in the editor.
A template says it is not available
Templates are sometimes updated or taken down for a while. If a template page says it is not available, pick another from Templates — your saved projects in My Projects are not affected. If a template you were working on will not open, use Email our team and tell us its name.
Which sizes do templates come in?
Most templates come in two sizes: 16:9, the YouTube Video size, and 9:16, the YouTube Short size used for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. The template page shows which sizes a template has.
Editor
How do I change the text and fonts?
In the editor, open the Edit tab and type into each text row; the preview updates as you type. Each text row has a font picker with Google Fonts built in. On an Unlimited plan you can also upload your own fonts and keep them in your brand kit. If a font cannot draw your language's script, the editor tells you before you export.
How do I add my own photos or video clips?
Templates with picture or video slots show them in the Edit tab. Click a slot to upload a file or pick from the library. Photos can be JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF, up to 25 MB. Video clips can be MP4, MOV or WEBM, up to 100 MB on Free and 500 MB on an Unlimited plan. iPhone HEIC photos are not taken yet: set Camera › Formats to Most Compatible, or share the photo as JPG.
What are Settings and the timeline?
Some templates have a Settings tab with sliders and switches for things like colours, speed and effects. The timeline under the preview shows your song; you can move through it, and on lyric templates each line sits on the timeline where you can nudge its timing. Press Play to preview any part.
How does the preview work?
The preview in the editor shows your changes as you make them. Previews are near-instant and free on every plan. The exported file is made on our computers after you press Export, at the size and quality your plan allows.
Is my project saved?
When you are signed in, your project is saved to My Projects as you edit, and you can come back to it later. If you start as a guest, sign in to keep your project in your account. Deleting a project moves it to the trash; it is deleted for good after 30 days.
Music & lyrics
How do I add my song?
In the editor, use the Music row to upload your own song or pick one from the music library. Your song can be MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or AAC, up to 100 MB, and at least 15 seconds long. A free export can be up to 5 minutes long; an Unlimited plan exports songs up to 20 minutes.
How are lyrics timed?
On a lyric template, open the Lyrics panel and generate the lyrics from your song: every line is timed to the vocal automatically. If you have the words, paste them and they are timed for you. You can edit any line's words, and nudge its timing on the timeline. Lyrics can be timed in 100 languages.
Can I translate or style the lyrics?
Yes. In the Lyrics panel you can add a translation of your lines in one of 77 languages, and change how the lyrics look — font, size, colour and style. Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Arabic and other scripts print correctly; if the template's font cannot draw yours, the editor tells you before you export.
Exports & downloads
Which sizes can I export?
16:9 for YouTube (YouTube Video) and 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok (YouTube Short). On Free, exports are 16:9 at up to 720p. On an Unlimited plan, 16:9 exports go up to 2K and 9:16 exports are 1080×1920, and a template that has both sizes can give you both files.
How do I export without a watermark?
Free exports carry a small Onemaker watermark. An Unlimited plan removes it and unlocks HD (up to 2K). See the plans on the pricing page; you can upgrade from there or from My plan in your account.
How do I export and where is my file?
Press Export in the editor and choose the size. We make the file on our computers; a full HD export usually takes a few minutes. You can watch its progress in My Projects, and we email you when it is ready. Download it from My Projects or from the link in the email.
How many exports can I make?
A free account can make 1 export a day, 720p with the watermark; the day resets at midnight India Standard Time. Unlimited plans include unlimited HD exports, subject to our fair use policy. Every account can have up to 2 exports in progress at the same time. Guests sign in to export.
How long is my exported file kept?
A free export's file is kept for 15 days — we email you before it goes, and My Projects shows it as Expired afterwards. Download the file to keep it. Exports made on an Unlimited plan are kept in My Projects.
My export failed or is stuck
Open My Projects: a failed export says so, and you can try it again from there. If it fails again, or stays on the same step for a long time, use Email our team with the project's name — if a paid export fails because of a problem on our side, we re-render it or make it right under our Refund Policy.
Free tools
What are the free tools?
Six free tools, no account needed: Vocal Remover splits a song into an instrumental and a vocal with AI; BPM & Key Detector finds tempo and musical key; Video to MP3 pulls the audio out of a video at up to 320 kbps; Pitch Shifter changes the key without changing the tempo; BPM Changer makes a song faster or slower with the key kept; Video Compressor makes a big video smaller. Files you put into the tools are kept for up to two days.
Free tools · Vocal Remover · BPM & Key Detector · Video to MP3
Do the free tools have limits?
The free tools are free for everyone. To keep them fast for all, each tool has a fair hourly limit per visitor; if you reach it, the tool tells you when you can use it again. Very large files may be refused with a sentence that says the limit.
Plans & billing
Which plans are there?
Free: every template and free tool, previews, and 720p exports with a small watermark. Unlimited, paid monthly or yearly: no watermark, HD exports up to 2K and YouTube Short files, songs up to 20 minutes, your own fonts and a brand kit, and unlimited HD exports under fair use. Prices are on the pricing page, in your currency.
How do renewal and cancelling work?
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel; we email you before a yearly plan renews. You can cancel any time from My plan in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and then your account moves to Free. The chat cannot cancel for you.
How do refunds work?
Your first payment for any plan, monthly or yearly: ask within 14 days of it, with no HD or watermark-free export since, and we refund it in full, no questions asked. A renewal, monthly or yearly: ask within 7 days of the renewal charge, with no paid export since. A double charge, or a charge after you cancelled, is refunded. A refund ends that plan at once. To ask, use Email our team or the Contact page with your account email, the reason and the charge date. We reply within 3 business days.
My payment failed
If a renewal payment does not go through, we keep retrying it and nothing is lost — your videos and projects stay. Until the payment clears, exports use the free allowance. My plan shows what is happening. Payments go through PayPal or Razorpay; if a charge looks wrong, contact us before opening a dispute, because we can usually fix it faster.
Account & privacy
How do I sign in?
Sign in with Google, or with your email: we email you a 6-digit code to type in. There are no passwords. If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder and press Resend. Never share your code with anyone — we will never ask for it, in chat or by email.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account yourself from Account settings. Deleting it removes your account and your projects. If you have a paid plan, cancel it on My plan first. You can also ask us for a copy of your data.
What happens to my data?
Your files and projects are used to make your videos, on our own computers. We don't sell your data. Analytics and ad measurement load only if you say yes in the cookie bar, and you can change that any time from Cookie settings in the footer. What you type into the help chat goes to an AI service to answer you, and chats are kept 30 days. The Privacy Policy names every service we use, and the Cookie Policy lists every cookie.
